Not quite foolish April Fool's Day
Monday April 1
- I found one gnarly chair workout I could only do 7 minutes of. It was like a real workout as opposed to some light stretching/minor cardio!
- Organization notes:
- I am using the future log of my bullet journal! Its cool to have a side panel in Obsidian showing all the stuff I have in the docket for the future. I am not usually this organized. I put lots of events and reminders on my phone but its not the same. The second I use the phone for something else (often Youtube or podcasts) its out of sight, out of mind. I still use my phone reminders/calendar, but feel less anxiety about forgetting things or wondering if I forgot to set a million reminders.
- I bombed the food diary (I usually do) and I like to record my workouts in my blog posts (for now).
- When I am not at my laptop, I use pen and paper to record things in a messy fashion that I then transfer to Obsidian in an organized fashion.
- I got a large batch of comics from Feral Publication. It was part of a subscription. Only $20. It feels like massive bargain. You can check out their youtube channel for the vibe. Its an anthology zine of offbeat, weird and often raw comics.
- I started listening to Where You'll Find Me: Risk, Decisions, and the Last Climb of Kate Matrosova by Ty Gagne. Its the exploration/case study of the death of experienced mountaineer Kate Matrosova. Solid audiobook so far, but I'm still early.
- "What went wrong? Where You’ll Find Me offers possible answers to that question, demonstrating why Matrosova’s story—what we know and what we will never know—represents such an intriguing and informative case study in risk analysis and decision-making." - excerpt from author's site
